Ailing Cain will likely sit again when Brewers host Mariners

The Milwaukee Brewers were without center fielder Lorenzo Cain when they opened a three-game series against the visiting Seattle Mariners on Tuesday and they're expected to be without him again Wednesday.

Cain made use of Monday's off day to fly to Los Angeles, where he underwent cryotherapy on his ailing right thumb Tuesday morning.

Cain saw Dr. Vernon Williams, who has treated teammate Ryan Braun for a similar injury in recent years because of an overactive nerve in his hand.
